I can't help but wonder if that's what our wives and girlfriends see when they look at us explaining the hobby:D:D:D

Bob, they think that we have failed to grow up. I am lucky, my better half is the crafty one. She did a lot of the scenery and I laid the track.

She came up with the idea to use natural materials like weeds for trees and REAL dirt and such. She's into it almost as bad as I am.

Like you. I'm blessed with a very supportive wife, until children came, she could be found at my side, painting the models I put together.

...but I still think she sees a 9 year old kid, especially when I hold up some HO bauble and ask if I can get it.:D

Looks as though most of us are pretty lucky. My wife has helped with the scenery also. She has really surprised me with Christmas and Birthdays also. One year I ordered a $300 loco from LHS he called to tell me it was in but she got the call. She went and paid for it and told him to keep her secret which he did. Was I ever surprised that Christmas. By the way yes he ordered it before I paid for it. It was a small shop and I knew the owner.
