I have put decals on cars years ago and I'm getting ready to do a few now. I have a Herald King decal that I want to use first. When I was looking at the instructions it mentions applying the decal and then putting Solvaset on the top of the decal while tipped at a angel then wiping up the excess. I've never used that before, aren't the decals self adhesive?

Decals are self adhesive, but using Solvaset or similar solvents causes the decal to slightly "dissolve", thereby allowing it to settle in around surface features such as rivets, door handles and body trim. Use a corner of a tissue to soak away the extra solvent after it has had time to soak awhile. Trying too soon will cause the solvent to not be effective. Also allow plenty of time for the decal to fully dry before handling the item you put it on. Good luck!
