Nice looking model Lee. And I like the MGB Bill. I’ll have to keep my eye out for one on sale. John, the TR3 should be easy to find, though I don’t see one now at American Excellence. I’ve gotten a few of them in BRG.

I’ve seen Triumph TR250s before, but never heard of the TR5. Sounds like the same car, but the TR5 has better breathing, fuel injection and no emissions controls.

And yes, I have a few British cars on the layout.

My first car was a Triumph GT6+. Essentially a Spitfire in fastback hardtop with an inline 6 installed. Too much HP for the car. The bonnet would lose composure at high speeds long before the engine was out of steam.

After college, I bought a new 1980 TR7 convertible. Its 4-cylinder engine couldn't get out of its own way; bogged down by emissions controls without computers to manage that. It produced all of 92 HP.

But I never had a car that was better babe bait ;)

Lee, you're right about the resin models being delicate. I have a bunch of NEO models, although they tend to be a little expensive they have exhalent detail. NEO's are a better value than Brooklin's and their line is expanding to include some common models.
Living near the Canadian border, I wish they would make some unique Canadian models.

The Triumph TR's were always coveted, along with the Austin Healy 3000. I, unfortunately, had an MGA 1600. It had very unreliable brakes, and failed to start if there was a cloud in the sky within 100 miles.

I have a few European sports cars in 1/43 but none on the layout currently.
