Big plans for this...
It's Bachmann, so besides stripping, painting and lettering it'll require lots of mods & adds to make the grade.
It has a curious deficiency... the right side cab window has no center pillar or glazing.
Strange, but that's probably why all the ad photos are left-side views.
Sadly, they're the only maker of the 70 ton in HO scale.

I'm pretty certain the decoder will need replacement, as a good number of Bachmann DCC locomotives are 'buzzers' and balkers.
But at least now the project can begin.
I'm excited.

I loved my two GE 70 tonners but you will be more
pleased with it's pulling ability if you add weight.
I basically filled the cab and seldom had any
wheel slip.

I'm so sorry you got ripped off really bad because on Ebay my friend kadillackid1954 sells them at $19.44 new. You sort of inspired me, and though I already have 3, I think I'll get half a dozen to do various paint schemes.

Lol, don't feel bad, ups and downs in the hobby always happen, but yes, that price for a new loco is unbeatable, really unbelievable, yet it's just the Bachmann Spectrum line, no DCC. I have good experience with Spectrum, though, as I run only DC.

But I'm sure you would feel like a lottery winner if you bought it for $ 19.44. I hope I will, an hour ago I sent him a message to change the shipping section for me as it's set for the ridiculously steep GSP, one unit would be $ 41.19 shipping to Nicaragua, GSP, my a$$, lol, and that's not all, import charges at checkout, it means I won't pay a penny here, are only $37.25, GSP, my a$$. So now imagine I want 6 units, multiplied by 6 !!! My calculator just blew up ! HOLY SMOKE ? I mean, who doesn't love the Ebay's Global Shipping Program, lol ? Well, there's a reason I don't do or even believe in commercial Black Friday. Yours just hit you like a truck. I'm sorry I'm trying to make it all funny, but that's just my way of easing your pain, no mockery, seriously.

I got one at the train show a little over a year ago used but dcc from factory for $10. newer than era I am modeling but couldn't pass it up
