I had operated 11 Bachmann DCC locos for years with
out any problems whatsoever. If you like the looks and
the price of the Bachmann loco buy it.

Today, the 'innards'
of almost all locos made in the last few years can
be considered as quality products regardless of make.

As'age moved in on me I became unable to enjoy
my trains and offered the entire layout for sale.
I was fortunate to find a buyer for the whole
thing. I miss the operations but continue the
enthusiasm for the hobby.

Sorry to hear that Don, but glad you still give your opinions and thoughts on this great hobby. Your experience is so valuable to us that are still learning. I might ad my age is creeping up on me to. Take care.

I just bought one of second run the NS heritage engines from train world at a great price.
Runs great, nice detail, ditch lights on both front and back that light but only oscillating on the front.
The paint scheme is well done, a shout out to Bachmann for such a great job.
The sound is limited but what is there is good. The only negative I can see is the molded on grabs on the front. And after lubing it and some running it will start at speed step one smoothly.
A great buy IMO, highly recommended.

This was great for me, I can't afford the higher prices so I look for deals. Being retired and stiffness in my hands preventing me from detailing engines like I used to, these well detailed engines at a reasonable price is a blessing.
