I wanted to share some model train backdrops that I've painted over the last few years. These have been painted on site with careful attention to period, scale, color of the modeled scenery and perspective of the viewer. I invite you to take a look at my website www.modeltrainbackdrop.com for a few examples and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or enquiries.
Thanks!

Very nice artwork, Andy. Those gallery examples are impressive.

Just out of curiosity, for those who have layouts with roads (or buildings) that "drop off" into a back edge of the layout, have you created backdrops where the road continues along?

I have, I'm looking for the pictures now. In the meantime if you go to my other site www.muralworks.com and click on the "trompe l'oeil" section of the portfolio you can see some larger examples of where I've continued spaces and rooms. This is the kind of feature in a backdrop I particularly enjoy as it truly blends reality with illusion.
