Maybe someone in the forum can point me in the right direction, I can easily find cement loading facilities for those short covered cement hoppers, not to mention I work near one but I can not seem to find any pix or layouts showing the unloading process, do they unload in a shed or without ? Who are the main users ? The cement loading facility by me uses both hoppers and trucks so I am curious where the hoppers wind up at.

Any assistance appreciated.

If they unload cement into a grate system they likely let one or two cars into the shed at a time, then convey the product up into silos. If they have pneumatic adapters under the railcar hoppers they can blow the product directly to the silo through hoses, can all be outside.
Trucks delivering cement to the plant are likely all unloaded pneumatically using an on-board blower and valve system.
Lots of info on-line about this process.
