All,

I have some new in box HO engins and what seem to be small kits. They are all either football engines, Bears, Steelers, New England or Elvis. The Elvis ones are gold and come with track and a power supply control. Any idea on what this stuff is worth? They all come with Certificates of Authenticity. All are in styrofoam packaging and have not been opened. I will take some pictures.

Thanks for any help,

Glen

Probably Franklin Mint, Heritage Colletion, Bradford Exchange, Or some other collectible marketer. I believe that Bachman manufactures most. My brother has a "Corvette Train". His cars look like Bachman's. He hasn't received his engine yet so hard to tell for sure.

The sets may not be worth much to modelers , but collectors do pay a handsome price on occasion.

Try these links to Ebay... http://toys.shop.ebay.com/items/_W0...ksid=m270.l1313&_odkw=ho+trains&_osacat=19128

Please send me a PM with your asking price.

They actually look to be quality items, if I was a die hard Elvis fan I could be tempted :)

Good luck with the sale.
You're not a die hard Elvis fan? That's un-American!!!

By the way, I noticed that some, if not all, of the stuff was Spectrum. Pretty good quality

I just went through what was there.

(6) Chicago Bears Locomotives
(3) Pittsburgh Steelers Locomotives
(2) New England Patriots Locomotives
(1) New England Patriots "B" Car with track set
(1) New England patriots "Dome Car" Is twice as long as Engine with controler
(1) Carolina Panters Locomotive
(1) Elvis "B" Locomotive and Track Set.

What is the retail price for these? Trying to pocket some cash and give some good deals here.

OK fellas, I have been doing a bit of research in order to help Chicagoglen. These trains are offered by Hawthorne Village out of Niles, Illinois. They are part of sets. These cars are mailed out every 4-6 weeks to those that have enrolled to get them.

The NFL set sells for about $800 for the total package. They normally consist of 10 units including the engine and "dummy" B unit. The E.

The Elvis train is here. link http://www.collectiblestoday.com/ct...prod/_17+781/_/_24/_/_/_Y&endeca=true&abbr=hw

Engines and cars are Bachman Spectrum. Good quality.

That sound like a VERY good price.

My brother is collecting the Colts Super Bowl train and a Corvette train. He is paying roughly $80 for each shipped. $69.95 plus $8.99 shipping($78.94 if you are counting pennies) from Hawthorne Village. But, he collects trains and I model. Bit of a difference. But, we both spend too much.

He is where I got my leads to search for your trains.

That is a very fair price, one I wish I could take advantage of. Personal economics right now keep me from doing so. There are several other forums that have trading post threads that, since you've settled on a price, you should go ahead and post them there---with pictures.
