Thanks in advance

well i'm pretty sure it's possible becuase o scale trains are ac especialy MTH's so i would be there is a setup that go's between the track pick up and the transformere that hooks into the computer therfore making it so you can control all the thins you could with a standard controller. Also a computer would offer you one major advantage to no computerized layout's. You can program routes so the train will go from siding x to the mainline then off to siding z and the loco will be automatically stopped. I'm pretty sure most major train mueseums model and life sized would use this kind of setup as the software is either custom made or very expensive to own otherwise more people would use these types of setups.

don't get me wrong the computerized programs are awsome. :)
But i personally would prefer a controll system i could hold in my own hands and have the feel of more control over like this controller set by Digitrax The Duplex Equipped Super Chief 8 Amp Extra Set this gives you all the options of the computer system plus being able to walk around your layout and stop trains while you are right by them potentially saveing time and annoying walks to your train that you have stopped and more train time. :D This set also offers the capability to run multiple trains at once like say 8-10 and still have routes. This is the best set on the market and is around 650.00 dollars but they offer cheaper sets for people who run smaller layouts or use less trains like the super empire builder extra but you loose the ability's for routes and costs from 335.00 to 550.00 dollars, and from what i just read you will have to buy the amp packs throttles and so fourth anyways the computerized version at least what i could find on it ran through Digitrax amp packs and controllers so they are kindof just an exstension of the anolog systems alowing for the storage of more locomotive data and ither such things could be wrong though. could you post the link of where you found the one for 99 dollars?

i really like this one because its all about expansion. I will have to look into the digitrax though because it does sound neat.
My plan with the CTI was to build a wheeled cart and put my laptop on it so i could have some maneuverability with cause i really like the idea of being able to stop it while you walking around.
Thank you so much for the advice! :)
