Looks great. Funny I just ordered a loop of Kato myself to try it. I elected for the super elevated concrete ties... I haven't put it together yet. Also on pink foam but I already gave a basic ground cover.

What size is that board, 4x8? What are the different radii you are using? I'm looking forward to your progress.

My home depot sells the pink foam board in 4 × 8 sizes (in at least 2 thicknesses). It's scored on one side, and this allows you to subdivide it into smaller pieces by snapping it across the knee....

For what it's worth.

Further progress on the layout. Other than the Kato Amhearst 2005 track plan everything is unplanned. Using the Kato track I found that the track is too high to match up with the DPM buildings. I put 1/8in hardboard int the center of the layout to remedy that. The dock height of the DPM buildings is too high for N scale trunks so I elevated street lights to correct that issue.
