JMRI runs on your computer, laptop, notebook, Rasberry or whatever. The PR3, Locobuffer USB or whatever else you plan to use is the interface between the DCC system and the computer.

Depends on which version of the Zephyr you have, if it is the new Zephyr express, then you do not need anything else, just plug a USB "B" cable into the USB port on your Zephyr, and the "A" end into your computer. If you have an older Zephyr, without the USB port, then you will need to get the PR4, in order to be able to use JMRI.
