I read somewhere that cold drinks are the last think you want to drink if you have the virus. Hot drinks will help to break it up better. Neither the wife nor I drink tea or coffee, but we have plenty of hot cocoa mix and ramen noodle soup. No virus, though, and hope it stays that way.
No BS: I drank lots of Natural Light the entire time I was fighting Covid19. I seem to be entirely over the systems at this point. Today is the 11th day of the latest I could have contracted the virus. I'm not sure about the the number of days until I'm no longer contagious. So I'm still at home, isolated in my basement man-cave with 40 cans of Natty to hold me over. And my favorite liquor store is still open for pick-up or delivery.
I figured if I was going down, I might as well enjoy it 😊
I'm not into the heavy flavored brews. I like a clean crisp beer. A couple of years ago Natural Light was rated as the fourth best selling beer in America.
Do you know the story of Miller Light. It was first introduced as a diet beer targeted at women, only 96 calories.. That went nowhere. Then Miller changed the target market to beer drinking guys with those zany commercials, Ed Madden, et. al, "Tastes Great, Less Filling". The underlying message; all you guys that drink a case on the weekend ... now you can drink two. It became the best selling beer in America for a while.
I'm real close to just holding my breath praying for their success.
Not to jinx the mission, but there's little commentary on the hazards faced by Behnken and Hurley,

I am in remembrance of our seventeen...
Well it is called Union Station. So I'm plugging these shows (unseen) on Grant having actually slogged my way through the 1000 page tome of the same name by Chernow. It was in fact a good read but it's not easy to stick with it after the well known exciting bits. (Literally started it at...
DIVORCE versus MURDER
A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist; looked straight into his eyes, and said,
"I'd like to buy some cyanide."
The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"
The lady replied, "I need it to poison my...
I'm a member of the Society of the First Infantry Division and recently got an email from them which I have pasted here. I don't know what your plans are nor have I checked this out before, but it may be worth a look. Go to the website to check it out.
Every year on Memorial Day, we...
It's not appropriate to say "Happy Memorial Day," just as you wouldn't celebrate a loved one's funeral.
This is a time to remember our fallen, it should be a somber reminder of the brave sacrifice men and women have made to keep the United States a free and just society.
Memorial Day is for...
