I came across this YouTube video from Nov. of 2019. This video is about a families First Visit to Menards. Nicely shot video of Menards Christmas items as well as Train Stuff. Worth a look see.

We have many Menard's stores near us in Chicagoland. While Menard's serves a definite niche in the hobby none of their offerings to date have really peaked my interest.

Without a home layout, that takes the buildings off the list. When they first came out with cars I bought a hopper and a box car. Something about them didn't appeal to be. Not sure if it was physical or mental, with me probably mental, so I've avoided them. Luckily with all the train shows we have in the area I can pick up inexpensive Lionel rolling stock all day long.

I guess that means more for the rest of you!!

I have never been to a Menards, but now I would like to. It looks like the closest one is about 250 miles away. Maybe a Summer road trip.
Thanks for sharing.
Just a heads up, the main floor train aisle is only available late Oct through mid Jan. After that some product is moved upstairs to the out of season area and some product ( mostly buildings ) are sent back to the DC for internet sales.
