Hi tworail or anyone else looking,

I would like to know what a "STICKY THREAD" means. It only shows on a very few of the threads?? And I found nothing in the FAQ about that

Also when I'm logged in and post a thread and add pic's it I have to log in again WHY???:hwell:

A stickied thread will stay at the top of a forum page, unlike other threads which will fall back as newer threads are posted... Normally, a stickied thread holds importance...

Also when I'm logged in and post a thread and add pic's it I have to log in again WHY???:hwell:

Next time you log in, check the "Remember Me" box and you will be all set

That remember me box does not help me sometimes.
I still got to log back in and then you lose all new posts.

Inserting Pic's as a line item, Not a full Pic

I checked the FAQ, but cannot figure out how to post a JPG as a line item instead of a full picture, ie "LionelTransformer.jpg"
Pls advise

Did you read this thread here:

Use the "Go Advanced" editor tab, down below. Paper clip icon lets you attach (and upload) a photo ... it will appear as a clickable icon. Once that's done, you can click on the now-uploaded photo to get its URL address. Ctrl-C copy that address, and then use the Mountain icon to paste that URL address between "img" tags, which will embed the image directly into your post.

If you want a "line item", you can use the World icon to create a weblink to your photo's URL address.

Hi everyone. I just created an account, but have been having problems with this site. There's an ad towards the top of the page that will freeze the page for 5-10 seconds until it loads. It's just more annoying than anything. Any idea what could be going on? It's usually some weird Japanese text. I'm almost certain it's not my computer because I don't have this problem on any other website. Thanks!

New to Forum

Hello I am new to this Forum. I am a little unsure of how it all works but I will figure it out. I have looked at a number of photos from other members and there is a lot of great stuff being done. I am setting up a layout which in time will occupy 2 rooms, with 2 levels and hoping for 3 . I started this project in November of 2012. I LOVE to experiment with different ideas , I dont like to give up right away on new ideas, I often look at a situation and think to myself - there IS a solution , I live in Southern Manitoba ( Red River Valley ) in the flood zone, about 35 miles SE of Wpg on 42 acres of land
In the next week or so I will be posting pictures of my layout

Forum admin;

I see slogans, of some sort, under each post made by some members. Quotes from famous
people, statements about the poster's model railroad, degenerating down to opinions on the
not-so-great "switch vs. turnout" nonsense.
How do I attach a slogan to show up on my posts?

go into your user cp (look up top) add a signature, you will see in the user cp, edit signature, don't forget to hit save, that is called a signature.
