Anyone else remember these? they were a fixture in shopping center parking lots when I was a kid, I remember my mom buying film and dropping it off for processing at these when I was growing up, I was on Shapeways looking at some SP models that were available and found this

I had to have one so ordered it, its my first 3D printed model and I gotta say the detail is amazing and its a lot more robust then I expected, 3D printed stuff always looked so fragile to me but this one is very stout

I went online and saved several vintage pics of them so I could get the colors right as well as signage and posters, I remember the one in my hometown was in Carriage Square shopping center which also had a Safeway store and a KFC, my mom and I would go to Safeway for groceries, hit the Fotomat to buy/dropoff/pickup film and sometimes we'd hit the KFC for lunch, all in my moms light blue 70's Pinto, lots of fond memories

Yep. Those fotomats were everywhere. I think there's an old shopping center around here that still has the shell of one in the parking lot.

Learned to drive in a Maverick with three-in-the-tree.

Edit: Learned to drive in Grandpa's Ford pickup & tractor, in the field and on the dirt roads. I did my learners permit stint and got my license in the Maverick
