A Southern Pacific TOFC train meets a Santa Fe mixed freight on the SP/UP/Santa Fe/Rio Grande joint line on my layout. I finally unboxed all my TOFC cars, so I figured it was time to make a train up with them. The SP GP-35 locomotives leading the TOFC train were my first O scale command control locomotives. They're MTH PS2. They are what made me go all in on 1/48 scale 3 rail trains.

I've always liked GP35's and SD35's and those SP units with the MARS lights look pretty cool. I wish I had the type of area to be able to run long trains like these.

Need a little more GO GO juice on the main line.
It will take them a week to go 5 miles. :p

The layout is coming along nice. :smilie_daumenpos:

Thanks for all the compliments. My layout has a long ways to go. It's barely at the operational phase. I still need to install more yard tracks, an elevated mountain line connected to a 15' long tunnel, switch machines, structures and of course scenery. Unfortunately professional and personal obligations have seriously been hampering my layout time. I usually only have time for some brief operating sessions.
