About a month ago, my father-in-law suddenly passed away. He left behind a good-sized HO Scale model train collection that includes non-brass and brass pieces, plus tons of accesories. He collected mainly between the years 1985-1990. The family has decided to sell his collection, and put the money towards their youngest daughter's college 1st year of college incidentals money.

I have gone through the collection (approx 135 pieces plus accessories). Most are plastic engines & rolling stock with some diecast and even wood pieces, many unbuilt kits. All but a couple of the pieces are in their original boxes.

About half of the collection is in black Southern RR livery, all the engines are diesels. I managed to put most of the pictures (minus the individual box labels) on the web, as well as most of the prices. You can see the pics at:

I have also developed a complete Excel spreadsheet with prices in the left hand column that I can email you. Wherever possible, I have used real selling prices of identical or similar pieces. When in doubt, I have erred on the conservative side-- i.e. most cars are $4. On the far right are the picture numbers to match with the photos.
