Dada1587,
While you're welcome on the forum, it's purpose is to serve as a "gathering place" for hobbyists who enjoy swapping stories / info about their trains. Many friendships are found along the way, and friends often will swap/sell some goodies to other members.
That said, I'll repeat this little analogy that I wrote to another "one post seller" the other day:
Suppose your walking down the street in a big city and happen to pass by a big convention hall that's hosting a "pet rock" gathering. As strange as it may seem, these people LOVE their pet rocks. They've planned this convention for months, and they anxiously gather to excitedly talk about their rock's shapes, colors, texture, etc. A bit nutty, perhaps ... but they all love it.
As you continue down the street, your toe accidently bumps into a little stone on the sidewalk. You pick it up. Then, as you continue on, you see that the back door to the convention hall is open. With your newly found rock in hand, you slip in the back door, navigate your way to the conventional hall floor, and shout , "HEY ... ANYBODY WANT TO BUY MY ROCK?"
I think a better tactic would be to walk in the FRONT door of the convention hall, say hello to a few people, shake some hands, ask them how/why they're interested in rocks, tell them a bit about yourself and how you found your own rock, etc., etc. Then, after a few conversations and maybe some laughs, you might begin to talk a bit about swapping/selling some favorite goodies.
See the point here?
