I was a young married man when that happened...perhaps the cares of my daily life made me not pay attention to the news of it happening. I cannot recall every hearing about it.

It's a shame that so often it requires the deaths of many people to get the attention of government agencies to effect needed improvements. The same type of disasters have occurred around the world before changes were brought about. Some day maybe we'll learn to pay attention before the deaths.

I remember this I was only a child but my dad took the train from Windsor to Granville to work I think he was a few trains before this one .
Terrible accident.
