So a while ago I was making a bridge from scratch. I didn't like the way it turned out, so I purchased a kit from Walthers and it allows or modern-day cars with double stacks to go thru. The track for the train is code 100. My question is what code (100 or 83) should I use for the guide rails.
According to these guys, one code lower than the
running rails. If you are using code 100 track, use
code 83 guide rails, if code 83 track, go with 70 guide rails.
Oddly enough, I agree with that opinion. There are some really smart folks on that forum (and good modelers, too), but they tend to be a "if it's not hyper-realistic, it's not model railroading" crowd.
