I’ve had too many times when I didn’t have the correct size heat shrink tubing. I finally got an assortment of various sizes cut to length in a plastic case. I may never use the largest size, but I will always have the size I need. I would also recommend polyolefin and not PVC tubing.
Heat-shrink tubing only shrinks to around half its size, meaning that 3/16" tubing would be about 3/32" after shrinking. Keep in mind that the tubing walls also double in thickness, which can be noticeable in some situations.
These wires are very thin and so is the resistor. Has anyone done this and can tell me which size to get? A variety pack won't work because I'll never use the larger pieces I saw a pack of 3/32" heat shrink tubes on Ebay. Is this good for these tiny wires?
