Owned American Flyer as a kid in the late 50's to 60's and then got into HO when I got back into it as a volunteer in the 90's helping maintain the layout that used to be at Cypress Gardens in Florida. Was a great group and taught me a lot about scenery. Really enjoyed getting their ski resort back up and running. Unfortunately, CG closed and that layout long gone with CG and replaced by Lego Land. Glad to see though that Lego Land seems to be doing well. Also had a small home HO layout with nice scenery in Florida built thanks to what I learned from the CG volunteer group. Work eventually got in the way until retiring and moving to Virginia. Now in the process of putting in a basement HO layout. Have also acquired some old American Flyer S scale from auctions and am thinking about S scale layout options as well.
