Hi,

iam new to this hobby, currently need some information regarding this hobby..for now i mayb buying the PIKO DC set..right now my ideas are building Malaysian track and layout..ummm and what about the coupling..is there any different between the manufacturers?? like knuckle coupling others?? can i change the coupling? if can, is it difficult?
ohh one more..bout the loco..can we combine the loco..example i used PIKO railset and then i used both piko and hornby loco can it works??

Welcome...

There are several different European couplers so you're going to have to deal with that. Stateside, we went to two different types, neither of which are compatible but at least there are only two.

Different brands can run together but that is a unit by unit issue, find out how well they run at speed separate from each other on the same track...if they match speed fairly close, they'll work, if not, one is always going to be working against the other eventually hurting one or both engines.

Don't worry about your English, far too many Yanks don't have a grasp of it either.:D
