I now have an Aster Pannier Tank Engine that belonged to my late father who bought it as a kit in the 1990's. He died before it was fully completed and I believe it was nearly ready to operate. From what I can see it only needs the links that connect the wheels together on both sides. I don’t have a particular interest in keeping it and Dad would like to think it was treasured by someone who had a similar passion. Does anyone know its approximate value? I have its original box, instructions and some extra items. I could supply photos if anyone is interested. Any advice on where and how I could sell it would be appreciated.
Spirit-fired steam model of the GWR 0-6-0 Pannier Tank Locomotive No. 6752
built by Aster and stamped 140 under the side tank.

At $2500 USD new, $750 to $1000 probably isn't too bad an offer, in the UK it would go for much more...if that's the one you have and it is well assembled up to the point it is finished. I like live steam but it's way too expensive for me and the economy on both sides of the Atlantic isn't going to make things easier for an untested and partially assembled kit. I hope you find a fair deal and a good home for it.
