I just was at a train show and picked up two 1122 track switches and they both only automatically switch straight, is that all there supposed to do or are they broke.

They need insulating pins on the inside of the y where the tracks meet. So it should switch from the curve and straight. If it switches at all it isn't broken. some models do not switch automatically.

There are two coils so one may be wired incorrectly. One for each direction. The 1122 E are the auto anti derailing.

i have the insulation pins in. but my down fall here might be that i have my other track switches hooked up through light switches
now that i have more track on the train wont go. i currently only have a 90 watt transformer and only two clips going to the track.
