my train wont run at a point it will move 5 ft. Then it will stop. I am running one table AC one table DC its the DC table any help at all

more details please. i don't remember what setup you have.

for starters - in any case it is a good thing to make sure there are no shorts. do you have good rail joints?
clean the track, clean the engine, test with different engine, test with voltmeter.
