I have a 1960-61 or 1961-62. Toward the end it says Ho american flyer what is the difference between american flyer s and american flyer Ho. Thanks

S scale is 1/64th. HO scale is 1/87.

Gilbert made HO trains prewar and then again postwar. Visit the site gilbertho.org to see more about them.

It is pretty much all on that site but there is a lot to look through. One thing I find interesting is in 1950 Gilbert made HO track that looks just like their S gauge track. It is rare today because Gilbert quickly switched to the Tyco brass rail/plastic tie track as it was much cheaper and looked better.

When searching on ebay I see AF made many of same cars in HO and S. I sometimes see what
appears a great deal then notice it is HO.
