Did anyone see the cover of the latest Micro-Mark (small tools) catalog? It's a photo of Tom Griffiths' scratch-built Hoboken Station. Pretty impressive work.

Here's some more pics:

Has anybody here see this firsthand?

Thats in my neck of the woods. I saw it once a long time ago.
I might have to make the trip and get to really see it. As I just drove by it.

A copy and paste for you,

Designed by architect Kenneth M. Murchison in the Beaux-Arts style, the rail and ferry terminal buildings were constructed in 1907 as the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. The terminal building is listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places (added in 1973 as #73001102 as the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad and Ferry Terminal). It has been undergoing extensive renovations which are projected for completion in 2011.

Hey Big Ed,

I'm VERY glad to hear that the station is undergoing restoration. I had some extended business in Hoboken about 2 years ago, and the station was looking quite seedy and neglected at that time. Still, though, one could see the impressive architecture hidden amongst plywood coverings, etc.

Thanks,
TJ

I thought the same thing the last time I was there.
