I recently bought a set of Athearn Gunderson Maxi-3 well cars and I dont think they have metal wheels. Could someone please tell me which metal set would be appropriate and where to find them?

I am not familiar with those cars, but it would surprise me if they are plastic. As far as replacements go. I would get a pack of Proto wheel sets and simply replace them.

I really like intermountain wheel sets, they make either 33" or 36". If your very particular on being prototypical or just like the real thing you will need to do some research and see what the actual dimensions of the real wheel sets on those cars where. If not, I would try out a set of 33" I seem to have the best luck with those.

If I'm not mistaken, well cars use a 28" wheel, Kadee makes them and they would fit an Athearn car.

it has 33" on the ends and 36" commons
