Installing brushes and springs on pancake motors

Hello everyone---I am posting this information just as a help to anyone who is or might be needing to replace those tiny little springs and brushes in pancake or other two part motors. Here is how I did it and it worked like a charm:

Cut two pieces of 1/8 inch flat ribbon (I had some christmas ribbon handy) about 10 inches long. Tie a slip knot making a loop a little larger than needed to go around the motor half with the brushes in each ribbon. Put the springs and brushes in place and carefully place the ribbon loop over the brush of the first one. Pull the slip knot tight so it holds the spring and brush in place. Now do the same for the second one. Put the two pieces together and tighten the mounting screws until just bringing the two motor pieces together. Cut the ribbon loops and pull out of the motor assembly. Tighten down the mounting screws and shazzam!, it's all back together!!!!!!
