A couple weeks back there was a question on the minimum radius of a Mantua Mikado. 17 3/4"...with a 1/4" easement...and all the drivers are flanged.

Nice work. I hope it helps someone.
It won't go any less, that's for certain...there's one spot in the track that goes a might tighter--very imperceptible--. the lokey pops up momentarily, then pops back down, Mary skipping a beat. I'm pretty sure that the transition curves have a lot to do with the success of the experiment.

The easement my be important. What was the easement ShayGetz? 1/4" does not sound right. Did you use a 1/4 piece of 22" track?

I made mine by laying out the straight track 1/4" to the outside of the curve from center line. Measuring 6" down from center line, I joined the two. a little crude but very effective. Outside curve is 20", inside is 17 3/4" to allow for it.
