What a surprise...an apparently quality model manufacturing company right
here in Jacksonville and I never heard of it. Tsk, Tsk on me. Sure do hope they
are doing well.

But, take a look at the pics of that classic Jacksonville Union Terminal,
for whom the model company is named.
It is now our Convention center, but was, during most of the 20th Century,
one of the busiest train stations in the South. Some of the most famous trains
of the East were daily visitors, The Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Air line,
Louisville and Nashville, Southern RR, Illinois Central, Pennsylvania
and our own Florida East Coast...all bringing folks from New York and the upper
East, Chicago and the great Midwest, Atlanta and all points in the mid South
to the breezy shores of the Sunshine State, among them...ME. Other travelers
were headed to Daytona Beach, Orlando, Tampa/St. Pete, Miami and
Palm Beach...
