I am in need of one complete coupler for a K-Line “Heavyweight” 6 wheel passenger truck.

The car has one coupler with a busted draft gear and the other end is missing the uncoupling “thumbtack”. One complete coupler will get this car back in service...

Any suggestions or sources? Thanks.

That appears to have a common T bar mount. Its used on modern Lionel passenger cars and some tenders and engines. Remove the truck, then the e ring to remove the coupler. Take a picture of the coupler on its side to determine the correct mount.

This one may work with a washer. Its also 2" long.

You might need the armature plate too. This engine has the two parts you need.

Many of the early K-Line passenger cars were plagued with zinc rotted trucks and couplers so newer replacements might not be a bad idea.

That’s true. I have a couple other K-Line cars that have sketchy draft gear. I may end up replacing them eventually...
