As an Art Curren fan, one of my favorites from him is the Flat Iron Co., built using three Belvedere Hotel kits. Mine is named Weaver Textiles (yeah, I know. Groan). Built it back in 06.
Anyway, found a couple Belvedere kits at the local train show last month for $10 a piece and snatched em up. Figured it would be cool to build an annex to Weaver and put them on either side of a spur with a skyway overhead. Made that from a Walthers planing shed kit I had.
There’s some roof details that remain to be put on, and the entryway steps aren’t shown here, but overall I’m pleased with the results.
Belvedere was a favorite of Curren’s for making various structures. If anyone has their own that uses that kit, I’d love to see it!
