I bought three passenger cars #660, 662, 663 and the couplers do not match up. Doesn't matter which way I turn the cars they are all off see photo. Could someone have replaced them on the wrong side of the truck? I intend to put knuckles on anyway but thought this was interesting.
Also what locomotive was normally paired with these cars or were they purchased separately? Perhaps that's why I got them so cheap?

They look fine to me. Here are three pictures. First is the same as yours prior to coupling; second, they are coupled; third with the couplers to the side so the pins are visible.

Thanks, stupid me, didn't know how they worked, probably laughing stock of the forum. Any idea as to what loco was with this set?
