Some guy is trying to sell me this stuff for 150. Does this look like battery damage on the locomotive to you?
What do you think it is worth as a package.

Guess it's not worth 150.

I COLLECT WHAT I LIKE INCLUDING LIONEL PW

As when buying anything used, especially electrical, check for condition, condition, condition. The KW is a great transformer for sure. Just make sure the one you are looking at does not need attention concerning the rectifier and rollers and wiring.

KW link is shown below

The battery corrosion should not be a deal breaker on the SF Powered A Unit unless the corrosion has really eaten the frame away. Your engine appears to be a Santa Fe EMD F-3 No. 2333 from 1948-1949. See Tandem link below.
The couplers on the engines have wire wound coils used to activate said couplers. Make sure they are working properly.

The other rolling stock seems to look ok. But do check them out carefully. Some of them may have the same style of couplers as the Engine.

Browse the Tandem Website for more information on the rolling stock.

I HOPE THIS HELPS

Oh yeah the $150 is about average if the set is in good shape. Not so much if repairs are needed. Keep a sharp eye and dicker if you can.

With all the parts shown as missing, I'd offer $75. It looks like an abused collection of parts.
Ok. Let me think about this. I may just pass on them. I offered 75 initially.
