The credit card simpy qualifies you to register for this particular auction. If you are a successful bidder the credit card on file is charged out for your puchases. You dont have to bid online, you can attend the auction in person. By doing this the buyers fee is only 10%. To bid online it is 15%.

My feelings won't be hurt if you bid on it, TJ. *L* I just object to buyers covering the costs of sellers putting stuff up for auction. I doubt they could get sellers to agree to a 15% comission for every item sold. That's a rip-off rate. The auction house just figures buyers are too stupid to realize it.

Actually sellers pay a commission rate from 6% all the way up to 50% depending on how much each item sells for. The higher it sells the lower the commission. The lower it sells the higher the commission. Its not a rip off rate it is a staying in business rate.

Green Bay, Wis.....my home town team. Go Packers!

I've bought from several different online auctions(non-Ebay) before. Just figure what your willing to pay, deduct the 17% (or 15% in this case)and S&H costs and that's your bid. You'd be surprised how many good deals you can get because many people feel the way some here have expressed.

You never know until you try.

:)

The last item I got from an online auction like this was a old Marx Biplane, that was near excellent condition, all original. Doubled my money on it selling it on ebay.
