I opened up the smoke unit - one of the new whistle steam ones that attaches to the boiler shell. Changed out the batting and now working perfectly

Now Marker lights now don't light. I think I have found the problem in that one of the wires that go under the smoke unit was poorly insulated.

So is it simply a case of replacing the miniature LEDS ? Having looked at the Lionel parts website I cant find them - can somebody tell me what I need to order please.

Thanks

Thanks John.

Do you think anything else might have failed? I have all other lights working perfectly?

I did find some listed under 6-28077 item 13. Would these work do you think?

Thanks

Quick update....

I ordered the marker light LEDs for the earlier legacy challenger, changed the connector and re-wired them in parallel with help from my good pal Eric ( He has a very fine solder gun John - unlike me LOL !!)

Engine good as new now - lucky for me I only blew the LEDs and not something on the board!
