2nd time I have bid on a K335. Getting better though. Last time
I finished 3rd, this time 2nd. It was another nice looking locomotive. But untested, which we all know it didn't run. It
was not sold by a train person. This guy sells knifes and cameras.
I bid 326 something and it took 5.00 to beat me and someone had bid that or more. The last 4 or 5 K335s had sold for under 300.00.
Oh well, saved me some money. There seems to be plenty of whatever you are looking for. These things are not rare.

Al, use a sniping program like Gixen and set you maximum and then just wait. You will avoid a bidding war and not get caught up in the frenzy. I have done well with this. If I really want an item I set it high.:laugh:

I take it you did not go to S Fest last month in St Louis. There are usually plenty of them there. I went to the one in Chicago last year but could not make this years since I was in Italy.
Fred has the ideal solution. I rarely buy anything from EBAY and am too lazy to get a sniping program. So what I do if I must have an item is put in a ridiculously large number. The system only uses as much as is needed to overbid the prior bidder. If I still lose it then I say that was not the item for me.

There will be others mopac, there just not as plentiful as the 336 since they were a one year only production. The hunt sometimes is half the fun.

I only put one bid in. I bid at the 4 to 6 second left mark. That is not enough time left
for someone to put a bid in to beat me. cramden is correct, there will be another. I paid
around 400 for my other northerns and was trying to get this one cheaper. I don't need another one but would like a K335. There is another one on with a link coupler.
