SOme motors keep the steam chest on. You could fabricate a simple one with two holes and just clip it to the frame to let the rods slide.

Just picked this up. Another trade
As you can see, it needs some TLC

The bottom shot. The first thing I noticed is that the plate and spring are missing, and the bottom plate of the motor is broken.
The rear trucks are also missing.
