I have an HO scale Hall Scott Motor Car which I am trying to sell. It belonged to my father in law who was a devoted train modeler. He passed away and his daughters asked me to sell his train stuff off. I have not been able to find any information on the value of this item. Is there anyone who can tell me what a fair value on this item is? Is it relatively rare?

Hmmm, when I searched in Brasstrains.com, the search came up empty. Same with my ebay search. But thanks! That is the item. Are brass models more or less valuable when they are painted?

Use google, it will find almost anything.

Yep, it's pretty good. It has failed me a few times though. It's probably the search terms I used or the items are rare or most likely lack of perseverance

Looks like the custom painted one sold for $395.00....

I find that painted ones, painted properly, will go for more.....
