Cool stuff at sewing & craft stores

Can you give us an idea of what you're gonna do with those? I'm not a very imaginative guy.

I'll give it a shot... the tubes can be electrical conduit or duct work. The gears can be litter around a maint. facility or part of a scrap load.

The middle pic? Bling for ballast? :p

Actually, the 'ballast bling' (cut into strips) makes excellent gravel roads and paths.
Add some talus, and just spraypaint & weed to suit.
It's fabric so it's super flexible. It can be "bunched" in the center to simulate outer edge tire tracks.
Or just do stuff the hard way.

JoAnn, ac moore and hobby lobby craft, sewing and jewelry areas have an amazing amount of "hey you know I could use that on my layout, train, engine to make a..." kind of stuff. Plus every now and then something weird shows up on the shelves at half off like a air compressor for air brushes etc...
