I have a MTH F3 set (20-2484-1) and a couple of the truck side frames have damaged details, specifically the thin, delicate spring hangers.

I have looked through many types of locomotives with Blomburg trucks on the MTH parts website and there are no parts list listing the side frames.

Any suggestions?

I found the same side frames listed under the parts diagram for the GP35. The brake cylinders and spring hangers (MTH calls the “plungers”) are noted as separate parts with their own numbers.

Basically, it is the “plungers” I need, as they are delicate and seem susceptible to damage. I can find them on the GP35 exploded view and parts list, but the link for the part goes nowhere. If I try using the parts search with the part number, it comes back empty.

Does this mean I need to call MTH directly?

Figures. I wonder if I can order the entire truck side frame instead. As a last resort I will try using brass stock to replace the hanger.

I have a UP GP35 that had four bad truck frames...all with damaged spring hangers. It is definitely a weak spot in the design...

Agreed. I have a couple other parts I need that I cannot get numbers for. I will finally pick up the phone and call Midge. Just waiting for some of the holiday craziness to subside...
