So I have a mth railkind burlington route diesel passenger set. The engine will not move, next I see a plug under the back coupler but don't see any plugs on any of the cars to plug into it. The engine has sound, bell, whistle, etc.. went through the reset procedure and still nothing. However, if I plug it into a dc transformer, it runs fine, forward and reverse. However, If you put the dc transformer in forward, the loco runs forward all the time, if you turn the transformer off and back on, it still runs forward. Any other ac engine reverses every time you turn the transformer off. Any ideas?

Figured it out, battery pack in engine was showing 2.4 volts, thought it was good but it wasn't. Made a battery pack for it out of some rechargable tripple a batteries, works perfect.

Just glad I got it figured out. Bought 2 mth sets and a bunch of track off facebook marketplace for 300 bucks. The other set was a streamlined norfolk western.
