Is it possible to embed multiple quotes within a Reply?
If so, How?
And if so, could the directions be included in one of the "Stickies"?

Thank you,
LeRoy

Example: I got Replies from three people. I would like to tie the Replies together in one Response quoting each with a comment before moving to the next quote.

PS: I searched the whole forum using key words "Quote" and "Multiple Quotes" and no matches were found.

Start your reply, then in a new tab or browser window open the thread again and hit 'quote' for the first reply. Copy and past that 'code' into your first reply, then in the other browser tab or window hit quote on the next one, lather rinse repeat.

Another way is to copy the 'quote' into a text file so you capture all the code for the quote, then do it again for the next quote, and so on. Once you get all the code for the quotes into your text file, copy the whole shebang into your reply.

I did it here, but just copied your original quote twice, but it's the same concept.

Thank you for your Reply. I thought that I saw it done in this forum but I wasn't sure and had no idea how to do it.

Later today, I will give it a try.

Next to the QUOTE BUTTON is the multiple quote see what I did. ( it says Multi quote if you hover your mouse over it.)
Just click on the multiple quote button in each one of their comments.
In their reply click the multiple quote it will turn red go to the next one and click etc.
You see I quoted your whole thread?

Edit, I added XXXXXXXX's under each quote.
Just add your comments to each one under their comment.

Now after you click Multi quote in each one of the reply posts go to the bottom left and click Post reply.
It will then come up looking like my copy and paste below.
To add a reply to each one you have to look at the quote marks were they end. Then add what you want to say under each one.

SEE YOURS ENDS HERE THIS IS WERE YOU WILL ADD YOUR REPLY THEN MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ONE.

TOMS ENDS HERE SO YOU WILL ADD HERE.

You have to look at the quotes at the end to separate your reply to each ones comment.
Do you understand?

Try it in this thread.:smokin:

Edit, my copy and paste of what you will see didn't come up, you will see it different then above, all the multi quotes together. You have to look at where each one ends then add your reply under each one.
When you try it you will see.

After you multi quote you will see something like this

Quote=tom then commentxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(quote)
quote biged xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(quote)
quote Bobxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(quote)

It is up to you to figure out where each one ends then add yours underneath it.
To add to each one under it, click behind the quote at the end, then hit the enter to add space under each one for your comment.

You will see what I am trying to show when you multi quote.

Awesome. With my method you have to be sure you get all the code... one missed bracket and it breaks the quote. Not the end of the world, but this method is obviously better.
I just tried multi quoting all in this thread and it seems like you can quote as many as you want.
I didn't want to add the whole thing again.

Testing Big Ed's Multiply Quote Reply Method

As suggested in Big Ed's reply, I am trying out Big Ed's Multiply Quote Reply Method in this thread.

1) I clicked the "Multi Quote" button in Reply #11 and and then again in Reply #12.

2) Then I clicked the "Post Reply" button at the bottom of the thread.

And the two quoted sections below appeared in BLACK.

3) I changed the color of Tom's to RED and of Big Ed's to BLUE.

4) Then I typed the above five lines plus this one

5) And CRSR'ed to here and typed this line.

6) And now I CRSR'ed to here and added these comments.

I was rather busy yesterday and today so I didn't get to check on this thread until tonight.

Tom C, Thank you for you quick reply.

Big Ed, Thank you for your detailed directions.

I very much appreciated your Replies so now I am in the Multi Quote business.
