Looking good Lee! EMD F units in the warbonnet paint scheme are probably my all time favorite railroad locomotive. My dad says he used to take me to the depot in San Diego to see Santa Fe's San Diegan train (LA to San Diego) with warbonnet F units around 1970 when I was very young. Unfortunately I don't remember them. Later as a teenager I would have the opportunity to participate in a night photo shoot, put together by a well known railroad photographer, of the only remaining Santa Fe F7's. The two units ( California State Railroad Museum's A and B units) were freshly painted and looked incredible.

I just got a ABBA set of the MTH Premier F7's with the plated sides. They're gorgeous with great detail. But you've got me beat with 16 Santa Fe F units. :smilie_daumenpos:

Great looking engines. When anyone thinks of model railroading in any scale, their first exposure to trains probably included Santa Fe F units of some sort.

They are the popular standard in the hobby.

There was many a year where the only #'s I knew were 2343. And that's because I didn't have one!!

There's an entire generation that grew up wanting SF Warbonnets!!

Thanks Lee!

Hey Maxim, do you have the product number for your new F units handy? I wanted to see if they have parts available for these engines...
