I have seen the videos and these are impressive engines. My K-Line engine still behaves so didn't see a need for this Legacy version but do say the new ones are very nice.

They are nice engines. I have the K-Line NYC too, but wouldn’t mind having a better running engine. I may do some upgrading to the K-Line engine or get a Lionel in the future.

Lionel did the NYC version correctly as they stacked the “New York Central“ lettering on the tender. The K-Line version printed it in one line...just doesn’t look right...

Lionel got one right. Amazing. Little history. These engines ran in commuter service in the Boston area until the B&A was dieselized in the early 50's. They were transfered west and served in NJ I think until scrapped. Any other roads besides the B&A and NYC are fantasy but who cares, it's your layout. Run them if you got them.
