My latest purchase from Menards Trains

Picked up the pair of C&NW flatcars with the tractor & trailer load that I had ordered on their web site. Been running them on the layout for a few days now with no coupler or derailing issues. The T&T will be removed from the flats and will be placed on the layout, maybe at the Lionel factory. Will replace the T&T loads with some John Deere farm tractors, seems appropriate for a C&NW flat car. The silver trucks will get a coat of rusty brown paint.

Sounds like a good plan to me. The silver trucks look has bothered me as well. They really should have to have a weathered look of some sort IMHO. If one had the room on their layout the O-Scale Menards Store would look nice with the Menards tractor & trailer parked close by ready to be unloaded.

JDs as loads will be a great look for the C&NW Flatcars.

Hi Spence, if I had the room on the layout it would be a no brainer but unfortunately space is at a premium in phase one of the rebuild.
