I am open to any suggestions you all may have and any criticisims you also may have I have just started out so i will be posting pics along the way. With time and funds permitting. :) so thanks to all who offers up suggestions and ideas.

Brandon, looking at up6 picture (the yard), i see lots of S curves. not sure if you want to maximize track length or preserve space for buildings.
But i would redesign the yard ladder .
starting at what looks like Wye turnout at yard entrance instead of immediately curving the line in and using left hand, why not use right hand? that way instead of curved path you will have better looking strength and increase the size of your leads. see attached.

same concept goes for the other switch , one before the diverging route to the switchback.

I think that you probably will be spending all of your time negotiating your trains through the yard. Also In my opinion it is way to straightforward. You might like having one track go under another or something...Just suggestions

I want to thank you all for your suggestions :) i am gonna re-do the yard tomorrow cause now that you mention it it does make more sense to do it that way. and im hoping to have some elevation changes on the other side of the layout (just dont have enough track yet) lol. as far as the rolling stock i am using athearn genesis cars they seem to have the best detail. once again i thank all of you for your suggestions and i hope to keep you updated and i hope to hear from you all with future suggestions.

i think you should turn off the date imprint feature on your cam ASAP! you ruining every picture. if you ever need to remember what was the exact second you took the pic, there is EXIF info embedded into it (in addition to standard file properties).

otherwise looks quite good
