Whats the best lubrication for metal gears and worms on a N scale engine. I would think grease or oil could cause drag on a small motor. What about dry graphite?

Labelle is OK, I did a search for something just a little better. I use the light weight Super Lube it also contains PTFE.

LaBelle is good, although you might want grease for the gearboxes (they make that too). Also Hob-e-Lube (a Woodland Scenics brand). Make sure it is plastic compatible; not everything is.

Dry graphite is good for car axles and coupler boxes.
